What a difference you can make!
Support Child’s Passport to Health (CP2H) in its work to provide medical or surgical care for children that is not available to them in their native country. For those who have so little, your care and support make a huge impact!
Spring 2022 trip to Guatemala shows what your support can do!
Led by Mike Mallahan MD and co-sponsored by Child’s Passport to Health, a team of 26 healthcare professionals from the greater Seattle area and Portland traveled to Morales, Guatemala, to provide audiology and ENT surgery in coordination with Jeff Adams MD, ENT surgeon from The Everett Clinic and other surgeons and health care professionals. Clinic visits were provided for 478 patients; surgery was conducted for 53 patients, and hearing aids were provided for 50 patients, with 8 receiving procedures for bone conduction. Families provided most of the post-op monitoring with guidance from healthcare professionals. Post-surgical care is provided by the local ENT medical team in Morales. Funds were used for supplies, instruments, and microscopes - some of which are staying in Morales, Guatemala.
Why Guatemala? Dr. Mallahan has established highly effective collaboration with the local healthcare teams over the years. Guatemala has the second highest level of poverty in the Americas. The local indigenous population is disproportionately affected by widespread poverty and lack of access to healthcare. We who have so much can truly make a difference by supporting more trips such as these.

I am honored to be on the Board of Directors for Child’s Passport to Health! We are so excited about the possibilities ahead that make a difference! Please join me in whatever way you can to support Child’s Passport to Health! This all-volunteer-led organization and all-volunteered care make every dollar go much farther! Support can help purchase equipment, medications, medical supplies, etc. After several years where the Covid19 Pandemic limited our CP2H care options to support local groups such as Children’s Home Society and NW Harvest to address hunger, we are now finding new pathways. With new Board members leading the organization as well as your support, we are building momentum for more ways to fulfill our mission.
